Stuart Smith’s work for The University of Manchester has received a prestigious International Innovation Award at Handheld Learning 2008. The award presented by TV personality Johnny Ball recognises the work by Stuart in developing a new Content Management System (CMS) that allows content to be reformatted and optimised for access on mobile phones whilst still being available on desktop computers.
The system is being used to provide content to the £10 million Molenet Project, the largest mobile learning project project in the world as well as to FE colleges across the UK.
